Barking & Dagenham's 10th annual Carnival celebration is coming up on 13 July in Barking Town Square, and its shaping up to be the biggest carnival yet! We spoke with some of the organizers at UKON and friends of the carnival who are working hard to make this the best carnival to date, they talk about what to expect at the event, some of their highlights for this year's festival, and why this is their favorite event in the borough.
On 22 June, UKON will be hosting a special launch party at Valence Library in Dagenham (RM8 3HT) from 1-4pm free for all ages with music, dancing, costume making, prizes, and food.
